NEED FOR SPEED(nfs) SHIFT FREE DOWNLOAD PC GAME

ABOUT THIS GAME:-

Fall 2009 was supposed to be the next golden age of the racing game, with the genre's two heavy hitters – Forza Motorsport 3 and Gran Turismo 5 – scheduled for release. While Xbox 360 owners were rewarded with an incredibly good Forza 3, several delays of GT5 wrecked the plans of many a Playstation 3 owner, this writer included.

But since we were hell-bent on a new racing game, the decision was made to take a chance on another new racing game that was receiving some good press: Need for Speed Shift. We've spent the last two months playing Shift on PS3 to keep ourselves busy until GT5 is finally released. Were we disappointed or pleasantly surprised with the dark horse of the racing game pack? Hit the jump to find out.

The Need for Speed franchise has gone from pretty good to bad over the past few years, but the folks over at EA Sports went to Slightly Mad Studios to create this latest edition of NFS from the ground up. The goal of Shift was to create a much more realistic driving experience for gamers with 15 real-world courses ranging from Laguna Seca to the Nordschleife and over 70 vehicles available for purchase. Did EA Sports hit its lofty target? We think so.

The key to Shift's success is its realistic driving characteristics. Gone is the arcadishness of past NFS titles, replaced by a much more realistic driving simulator that makes the gamer feel like he or she is really behind the wheel of cars that are out of their price range. Hit the accelerator and you're greeted with clever depth-of-field effects that blur the screen to simulate high speeds and g-force. When a crash happens, debris goes all over the track and the driver begins to breath heavily while the screen goes blurry and black and white. And the sounds. You can hear the realistic whistle of the supercharger under the hood of the Mustang GT500. The V10 powering the Viper sounds like it wants to eat you alive. But great driving simulation and realistic sounds only go so far, so Shift also strives to keep you motivated with interesting game play.

The goal of Shift is to win the NFS World Tour, but to get there you must first collect enough stars in your career to become eligible for the world stage. There are four tiers that proceed the NFS World Tour, with enough challenges to keep your attention for a very long time. When you begin to race you'll be given the choice of easy, medium or hard game play. Trust us when we tell you that easy just isn't challenging enough; you can pass the competition like it's stuck in Park. Even if you're new to racing simulators, medium is the place to start.

Gamers also have a choice of using a view from the front end, a front end view with the hood showing, a cockpit view and a rear view that shows the entire car. We find the cockpit view is best unless we're drifting when the view of the entire car seems to help. Once you get accustomed to the driving style of Shift, we suggest you challenge yourself by increasing the level to hard. This is the best way to prepare yourself for online gaming with other flesh and blood drivers.

Your career starts off with a free BMW 135i that is loaned out to you for one race. At first we had a hell of a time trying to keep the Bimmer on the road, but with a little practice we were able to get the hang of it. From there you're given $27,000 (if you win) to purchase your own vehicle that you will use in Tier One competition. We spent all of our money on a Mazda RX8.

Up to six stars can be earned in each event, with the first three stars going to podium finishers (first place receives all three stars) and other stars are earned by hitting points targets. Some races also feature star awards for reaching goals like a clean lap or hitting 75% of the racing line over the course of the race.

While stars are collected to reach the NFS World Tour, points are collected to increase driver level. Rankings go from one to 50, with 10,000 points separating each level. Points are earned in two categories: aggressive driving and precision. Precision points can be collected when drivers are able to accomplish tasks like mastering a tough corner, staying on the racing line and driving without incident or misstep over the duration of an entire sector. Aggressive driving points are awarded when the driver trades paint with another racer, hits another car while passing (dirty overtake) and spinning out another driver. Points are also awarded for drafting an opponent and drifting corners. If you hit enough points opportunities you will enter X2 mode, which will briefly double every point you earn. The more points you string up in X2 mode the longer you stay in X2 mode, too, so there is no better time to smash into the guy in front of you.

Speaking of crashes and aggressive driving, we were a little put off by the developer's decision to so richly reward the reckless driver. In real world racing, smashing into other drivers is rarely a good thing, costing big money and risking lives. This is one area where Shift steel feels a bit too arcade-like, keeping this still excellent game a slight step behind more realistic games like the Forza and GT series.

Hey Guys don't give up the game & hope most of you are annoyed when getting stars,
so cheers here comes the tricky part.....just if anyone stuck in the middle of
tier 3 or so...just try to get stars in an easy manner like this....just stay on
the green arrow icon and also if there is anything mention on the screen like speed
120 or whatever try to do the same while you keeping your car on the arrows...but
i prefer to get those points such as 120 pts etc then again you can re race it and
get the speed point like wise you can go to tier 4 very easily.
For me it worked and hope you gonna rock like me...just chill.

In "career" mode, when u r modifying your car, dont always follow the stat bars.
When installing any part always look at the performance stats (e.g. 0-100,top speed, etc.)
NOTE: Some times on installing body kits, the bars increase but the performance stats
reduce. Also, install any weight reduction part only when u r sure about its effects.
(Some car's handlings are badly affected).
Follow my advice and HAVE FUNNNN!!!!

NEED FOR SPEED(NFS) UNDERCOVER RIP FREE FULL DOWNLOAD FOR PC

 ABOUT THIS GAME:-

You never thought it would turn out like this, an all-out chase where you're both the hunted and the hunter. Now you must get behind the wheel and risk everything to infiltrate a ruthless international crime syndicate and take them down. The man you're after is a maniac behind the wheel, and he's driving like his life depends on escape, which maybe it does. He's the one with all the answers you need, so track him down. That fleet of police cruisers in your rear view mirror won't make things any easier. It will take all of your experience and every ounce of skill to outrun the law, take down the enemy, and unlock the truth that puts an end to this chase once and for all.

The Good

  • Plenty of cop chases
  • Instantly join races with press of a button
  • Isn't long before you're driving a cool car.
  • The Bad

    • Lots of quirks and nagging gameplay issues
    • Emulates Most Wanted, but doesn't necessarily improve upon it
    • Story isn't much to get excited about
    • Frame rate isn't great.
For the most part, the reaction to the last few Need for Speed games was the same: "Why aren't they more like Need for Speed Most Wanted?" "Where are the cheesy cutscenes and the over-the-top cop chases?" It seems as if EA heard those cries, because for better or for worse, Need for Speed Undercover feels like Most Wanted.
In Undercover you play the role of...wait for it...an undercover officer. Along with agent Chase Linh, played by the attractive Maggie Q, your job is to take down a group of street racers that have somehow become involved in an international smuggling ring. The story is told via campy cutscenes that fail to capture the charm of Most Wanted thanks to uninteresting characters and a predictable plot. Having a story provides incentive to make it through race after race, but the whole "this is cheesy so it's cool" thing feels kind of forced this time around.
Like many other Need for Speed games, all of your racing will take place on the streets of a fictitious open-world city--here it's the Tri-City Bay area. You'll start with a lousy vehicle, but it won't be long before you're able to snag a pink slip to a nicer ride. As you progress you'll earn cash, which can be used to unlock (50+) new vehicles from manufacturers such as Nissan, Dodge, Cadillac, Ford, Porsche, Lamborghini, BMW, Aston Martin, Mitsubishi, and more. If you're into tuning individual aspects of your ride or purchasing individual parts you can do that, but if you're not into tinkering you can purchase an upgrade package and be on your way.
Not only will you earn money for winning an event, you'll earn driving points for dominating it--basically beating it really, really bad. You can power up a number of your driving attributes, but they don't have a noticeable effect on how your car handles. As long as you drive fast you'll probably dominate, but there are occasional races where you'll totally obliterate the time needed to dominate an event, but you'll still lose to the CPU. The game also encourages you to drive with style and drift, draft, and drive really close to other cars, but other than increasing your nitrous there's little to gain from doing so. That said, the new J-Turn mechanic, which lets you bust quick 180s, is invaluable when chasing down rivals or evading the cops. You'll use it because it's useful, though, not because it gets you heroic driving points.
The cops are back in full effect in Undercover, and for the most part, their return is welcome. The challenges in which you must ram and take out a certain number of police cars are great fun, as are the challenges where you must cause a certain monetary sum of damage. Of course, you don't always have to ram cars to take them down; you can also run into log trucks, electrical towers, billboards, and more to leave a little surprise for your pursuers. It's too bad that some odd quirks hamper the cop chases. The environmental hazards that you can unleash certainly look cool and are effective, but quite often you won't see any police cars get hit by the objects, yet when the cutscene ends the cars are trashed. Sometimes you won't have to do anything at all to evade police--the game says "go" and you stay still and nobody finds you. Cops are capable of laying down spikes, but you can go the entire game without them ever doing so. The biggest problem, however, is that the cops don't do much other than bang on the side of your car and yell at you, so if you last long enough they sort of fade away on their own. This makes the chases less challenging than they could have been and also makes them feel artificial, like you're just fulfilling some sort of time requirement until the game decides you've done well enough to escape.
Undercover isn't just about messing with the Man. There are events where you need to maintain a lead for a specific amount of time or get a certain distance ahead of your opponent. Sometimes you'll have to shake the cops while trying to keep a stolen ride in pristine condition, and there are checkpoint races and circuit races as well. There's not a whole lot that's original here and the races are generally extremely easy--you might not see another car for an entire race once you've cleared the starting line. They're difficult on occasion, but this is usually because of the choppy frame rate, which is often dreadful on the PlayStation 3. It's not as if Xbox 360 owners are getting a smooth, fast frame rate, but it's significantly better than the PS3's slide show, which is often so bad that it makes the otherwise great-handling vehicles a chore to drive. What's odd is that there's really no obvious reason for the game's poor frame rate; the city doesn't look much different than those in Carbon and Most Wanted, and the car models have aliasing issues.
That said, the game does do a few things very well. The online cops and robbers mode, where the robber tries to pick up money and take it to a drop-off point while another person plays the cop and tries to ram them, is quite a bit of fun. But mostly what the game gets right is its pacing. The races are short--sometimes as short as 20 seconds, and almost never longer than five minutes. Another cool thing the game does is it lets you instantly jump to the closest race by pressing down on the D pad. If you want to find a specific event you can press up and you're taken to a GPS map, where you can instantly go to the race of your choice. It'll save you a lot of needless backtracking, and combined with the short races, makes sure that Undercover never gets boring.
If you're one of the many people who loved Need for Speed Most Wanted, flaws and all, you'll find a lot to like in Undercover. It's not very original and the slow frame rate is a downer, but there's no denying that it's just good fun to run from the cops and wreak havoc on a city in the process.
